Share Your Women’s Health Story, Raise Your Voice

We each have a health care story. Your story can help educate and inform other women and health care decision makers. The Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR) is dedicated to improving women’s health through science, policy, and education, and we understand that sharing women’s individual experiences and journeys can help us better inform providers and policy decision-makers on critical gaps in women’s health. Whether you are a patient or a caregiver for a family member, including a parent, spouse, child, or friend, SWHR wants to hear your personal health journey! Your story is powerful. Become a Women’s Health Advocate

Advocacy is one of the most powerful tools we have to shape a more just and equitable world. When it comes to women’s health, advocacy has been critical in areas like increasing investment in women’s health research, improving the inclusion of women in clinical trials, and expanding access to health care. Without advocacy, many of the rights and services we rely on today would not exist. The new SWHR guide, From Awareness to Action: A Guide to Women’s Health Advocacy, is designed to empower advocates — whether you’re just getting started or already deeply engaged — with the tools, strategies, and information needed to effectively champion women’s health. Check the guide out here.

Women’s Health Research Agenda

In alignment with the Society for Women’s Health Research’s 35th anniversary in 2025, the Society is pleased to introduce its first Women’s Health Research Agenda. Published in the Journal of Women’s Health2025 SWHR Women’s Health Research Agenda: Prioritizing Uterine Fibroids, Lupus, and Metabolism highlights persistent areas of need in women’s health and serves as a roadmap for stakeholders looking to initiate engagement or increase current efforts in women’s health research. The 2025 Agenda focuses on uterine health, autoimmune disease, and cardiometabolic health, with special emphasis on uterine fibroids, lupus, and metabolism in women. Take a look at it here.
