Our Global Health Connector Asia-Pacific (APAC) team and regional ecosystem representatives gathered on 9 September 2026, at M360 ASEAN in Kuala Lumpur to explore how next-generation connectivity, artificial intelligence (AI), and cross-sector collaboration can accelerate healthcare transformation across the region.
The event brought together leading voices from across the digital health and connectivity ecosystem, helping to exchange ideas, and strengthen connections across the regional healthcare ecosystem.
The delegation was led by Brian O’Connor, Chair of Global Health Connector, along with Gisela Garcia-Alvarez, Executive Director of Global Health Connector APAC and Coline Guiol, Co-coordinator of Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesian GHC Ecosystems.
Joining them were Lian Aik Toh, Co-founder & CEO of LEX GLOBALMINDS and Board Director of Global Health Connector APAC, and our new APAC Hub Ambassadors, Dato’ Sivakumar Krishnan, President and CEO of HTN Global, Maurice Tan, Programme Director at NUS School of Medicine and Karen Wee, Executive Director at Lions Befrienders.
The day began with the Connected Health & Community Care Accelerator (CHACCA) roundtable, featuring over 50 organisations, including policymakers, regulators, academic experts, and technology innovators.
The interactive discussion served as a platform to highlight emerging healthcare technologies in Malaysia and the broader region. As a founding partner of CHACCA — alongside GSMA and NUHS+ — Global Health Connector remains dedicated to sharing practical know-how, insights, and inspiration to accelerate the deployment of advanced connectivity in health systems.
The focus then shifted to the Digital Healthcare Summit: Accelerating Digital Transformation with Advanced Connectivity and AI. Participants tackled high-value digital health use cases while addressing critical deployment requirements across ASEAN, including data governance, cybersecurity, interoperability, scalable architecture, and regulatory frameworks.
