The Innovation Center for E-health Development Association drives e-health advancement through key initiatives. As an e-health advocate, it offers expertise and strategic guidance, monitors industry trends, and supports institutions and care providers. It also focuses on educating healthcare professionals and tech developers, and fosters innovative health tech startups. Additionally, the Association stimulates e-health innovation by enabling research funding and encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration within the health ecosystem.
• To develop and promote training, research, and innovation in the field of e-health in partnership with universities and relevant public and private stakeholders.
• To monitor developments in, and provide advice on, digital technologies applied to health for public and private stakeholders.
• To promote e-health in prevention, therapeutic education, well-being promotion, the improvement and personalization of care, information exchange and sharing, strategy, and decision-making.
• To direct applied research and innovation in e-health toward innovative solutions that respond to the needs and questions raised by actors in the national health system.
• To develop partnerships with scientific societies, healthcare institutions, and patient associations in order to promote e-health in medical practice and improve access to care through the use of new technologies.
• To promote information sharing, interoperability, and security among stakeholders in the national health system.
• To encourage convergence and synergies between programmes and multidisciplinary actors involved in innovation and research in e-health.
• To promote public-private partnerships and make them a model of performance in e-health research and innovation.
• To encourage entrepreneurship and the emergence of e-health startups covering all phases of the care pathway.
• To contribute to the development of e-health R&D at the national level and across Africa.
