From 30 September to 2 October, Global Health Connector will be in Kigali for Africa HealthTech Summit 2026, continuing our work to connect African health innovators, policymakers and ecosystems with partners and opportunities globally.
As our community partner, you can use code GHCPASS26 at checkout to receive 15% off all ticket types.
Our engagement in Kigali builds on the partnerships we have been developing across the continent and our role as a Global Outreach Partner of the African Digital Health Networks (ADHN). Through Global Health Connector's global network, we are supporting ADHN in increasing the international visibility of African digital health, building connections and creating opportunities for collaboration.
Brian O'Connor, Chair of Global Health Connector, and Karolina Mackiewicz, Innovation Director, will be on the ground throughout the Summit, and we are looking forward to meeting our African and international community there.

Together with our African partners, Global Health Connector will organise the roundtable “Making Health Data Exchange Work: Africa–Europe Cooperation on Standards and Interoperability.”
(2 October, 9.00am - 10.30am, moderated by our Innovation Director Karolina Mackiewicz)
Building on our Africa–Europe roundtable at AHTS 2025, this year's discussion moves into a specific area for CollaborAction: how Africa and Europe can cooperate on health data exchange, standards and interoperability. Through the open discussion, we want to identify practical areas for joint work, bringing together policymakers, standards experts, innovators, implementers and industry from both regions.
As the Global Engagement partner for Africa Digital Health Networks, we will also use our time in Kigali to continue discussions with Ministries of Health and other key stakeholders on opportunities for Africa–Europe cooperation, including available EU and international funding mechanisms.
Building on the conversations we started with African government representatives earlier this year, we want to better understand national priorities, where international collaboration can add value, and how these priorities can be connected with relevant funding and partnership opportunities.

Africa HealthTech Summit 2026 is part of the Global Health Connector Flagship Events Programme. Whether you are interested in sponsorship, speaking opportunities or registration discounts, there is a way to get involved.
