Events Manager

Global Health Connector is expanding its Events Team and is looking for a highly organised and proactive Events Manager to join our international team.

 

This is a fully remote position, carried out from the candidate’s country of residence. You will work as an independent consultant, using your own equipment and materials (laptop, software, internet connection, workspace, etc.).

 

Reporting directly to the Events Director and working closely with other Events colleagues, you will play a central role in planning, coordinating, and delivering our global Flagship Events throughout the year.

 

The activities will focus around the following areas:

  • Operational management of all event aspects, including pre-event preparation, coordination with speakers and partners on operational aspects, on-site and online coordination, and post-event follow-up.
  • Project coordination for events, including developing planning workflows, preparing core organisational documents, and managing timelines throughout the event cycle.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (venues, AV, exhibitors, speakers) to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Participate in regular internal planning and debrief meetings.
  • Oversee content updates on event websites, ensuring all materials remain accurate and up to date.
  • Analyse and report on the effectiveness of events to continually improve the attendee and partner experience.
  • Collaborate with our Marketing and Communications teams to promote events, ensuring accurate information flow and timely updates for all promotional materials, announcements, newsletters, and social media content.
  • Support content creation by providing accurate event details, key messages, reviewing materials, and coordinating updates from speakers, exhibitors, and partners.
  • Ensure tasks are delivered on time and high-quality standards are met across all deliverables.
  • Manage travel and accommodation logistics for team, colleagues, and partners.

 

Skills and competencies 

  • Minimum 3 years of international event management experience (preferably conference and/or scientific programs).
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, attention to detail.
  • Must be able to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of deliverables.
  • Strong written communication skills; ability to draft clear, professional communications.
  • Working knowledge of online editing tools such as Google Workspace, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools.
  • Experience using online meeting tools (Zoom, Google Meets…etc).
  • Basic knowledge of Canva is desirable.
  • Languages: fluent written and spoken English is mandatory + at least 1 other EU language.
  • Flexibility, proactivity and curiosity in undertaking new tasks.

 

Status/Availability 

  • Independent consultant, 4 days a week.
  • Working mainly from home (EU based) with own materials.
  • Fee: depending on experience.
