In September 2025, Global Health Connector at the UNGA80 Science Summit took place in New York City and virtually, focusing on Women’s Health and Obesity and Related Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).
In partnership with the Society for Women’s Health Research, we discussed key developments and opportunities to advance women’s health research, education, and policies, presenting insights from successful models employed from grassroot initiatives to international collaborations. Attendees discussed strategies to implement change in their respective jurisdictions and have opportunities to forge collaborations across the women’s health care and policy ecosystem.
During the second part of the event, the urgent need to address obesity and NCDs as a global health challenge was highlighted. By bringing together leaders in health, science, finance, and policy, we explored how convergence can unlock new models for prevention, funding, and systemic change.
